We all remember the iconic Tata Sierra, launched in 1991 with its two-door SUV design and curved rear window. Before time, with its unique feature it was introduced in the Indian market. Tata Motors is reviving the Sierra nameplate. They showed a three-door concept at the 2020 Auto Expo, and later unveiled a larger, facelifted five-door concept at the 2023 Auto Expo.
The Indian automaker has revealed the design of the Tata Sierra EV and revealed some interesting design details that could go into production. The front fascia is stylish with an LED strip that runs across the width of the SUV.It has a rugged look with integrated side lights, a big bonnet and a front skid plate.
The look is inspired by the Land Rover Discovery. Check the side of the door handles that can be used. The alloy wheels look big and shiny with a busy design. The B-pillars have kinks, the lower half of the body is padded, and the C- and D-pillars have large areas of glass for the windshield. It looks like the production version of the Sierra will have the same look with some changes to make it look more like an SUV. The interior is expected to have a premium look as shown in the concept version. It is equipped with advanced features.
The new Sierra will be launched with an all-electric engine, but we can expect Tata to launch an ICE version as well, which will be better for the target audience. The production version will hit showrooms in 2025.
