Tata Motors remains committed to realizing the vision of making India the EV hub of the world. The Company, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has been established with TPG Rise Climate to offer new mobility solutions. TPEM aims to ride the green wave and support the government’s vision to have 30% electric vehicle penetration by 2030.
Tata Tiago EV was confirmed earlier and there are new details and expectations out! The Tiago EV will get 300 km of claimed range, cruise control, regen mode, all of this will not be segmented first, but a benchmark in this category because there is no EV in this category.
The Tiago EV will borrow everything from its IC car counterpart and take the batteries from the Tigor EV with lower capacity and tune and take things forward. Given Tigor EV’s good success in the market, if not great for as of now, this could be a game changer for customers who want limited mobility of driving within in the city only and can find the Tiago EV an ideal car for them. If Tata gets the price and packaging right, Tiago EV can clearly find a lot of customers. Given the EV demand from an older set of consumers, manufacturers are leaving no stone unturned to give them the options they require.
