Tata Motors in South Africa today unveiled its new generation range of commercial vehicles. The vehicles are Tata Ultra, The Business Utility Vehicle at Futuroad Expo, 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Three new models from Ultra range were showcased including ULTRA 814 (4.5T), ULTRA 1014 (5.5T), and ULTRA 1418 (7.5T). The driveline of the ULTRA 1014, has the latest NG 3.0Lt engine with an output of 140 HP, a new-generation transmission with aluminum casing – the 6 Speed – G-550 overdrive gear box with AMT options, with cable-shift mechanism and axle technology, with reduced weight, ensures superior performance and greater fuel efficiency for varied payloads. The Longer wheelbase of 4530 makes Tata Ultra suitable for varying business applications such as FMCG, white goods etc.

Powered by New Gen 5.0Lt CRDi engine, Ultra 1418 is the offering in HCV range that will be available in the wheelbase options of 4900 & 5300 mm. The vehicle will offer a payload upto 7.5T which will be suitable for the customer to carry loads to mid – haul range.
