The India Speed Week 2016 Is Here and This Time in the City of Joy for the very first time
We all know that drag racing is something that thrills us. There have been videos of all types that we see and probably end up in being some in real races too. Some people have taken it as a business too! The India Speed Week 2016 (ISW) is a three-day extravaganza celebrating speed, adrenaline and glamour. It will bring together, for the very first time, drag racing teams and speedster across various automobile segments and categories to Kolkata. This will be verified sport and it will be Governed by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and managed by Elite Octane Inc.
when we said glamorous young talent that will include renowned personalities such as Baichung Bhutia, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor& Jackie Shroff will be present during the Flag Off of the Drag Races and across the 3 days of the festival to cheer for the teams as they head down the tracks.
The whole line up would be a one of a kind get together of cars and bikes in one place. Drag Racing at India Speed Week shall be in the quarter mile format. So the fastest to cover a quarter-mile distance on the runway from standstill is the winner in that category. Categories are defined by engine cubic capacities and modification levels.
The ISW 2016 with its history and dynamic training facilities, will be the runway of the Behala Flying Club. For the very first time, people in Kolkata will witness Drag Racing, thereby putting the city firmly on the world map of this exciting motor sport. Special arrangements are made to make sure the safety of the spectators and the competitors, including rescue, firefighting and medical support when the race is going on. The event will take place as per the guidance of the Federation of Motor sports Clubs of India, whic is the governing body for motor sports activities in India.
