Tork Motors Unveils Tork T6X, India’s first electric motorcycles unveiled in the city today. Tork claims the motorcycle is ‘born on the race track’ The motorcycle is said to be indigenously built after seven years of extensive research and development. T6X has been developed from the grounds up as a future of mobility and can spawn more motorcycles. Tork T6X comes with a lot of features to make things easier. Things such as on board navigation, storage, cloud connectivity, full digital display and much more. Battery can be quickly charged and will offer superior acceleration unlike combustion motorcycles. Tork T6X app is here to communicate its health, range, service alerts and customized riding profiles. Tork T6X boasts of safety features like ABS, CDS, anti-theft, geo fencing and daytime running lamp (DRL) among others to be listed.
Tork T6X uses TIROS (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System), the intelligent brain that will power the T6X motorcycle. The motorcycle can understand behavior and analyze and compile data for every ride. The motorcycle does Power management, real-time power consumption and range forecasts and TIROS learn how you ride to make things more efficient in every way. Tork T6X is powered by lithium-ion batteries and has a top speed of 100 km/hr. The motorcycle can then run 100 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged upto 80% in an hour and full charge can be obtained in two hours. As always, depending upon the usage of the bike, the battery life can last up to about 80,000 – 1,00,000 kms. Engine makes 27 Nm and has riding modes as well.
The styling is futuristic and has a combination of design elements from mainstream manufacturer such as KTM and Benelli is obvious. Tork T6X motorcycle is being introduced in three markets for now. Pune, Bangalore and Delhi in the first phase. It will be available in three exciting colour options and can be pre-booked at an introductory price of Rs. 1,24,999. Tork Motors is now set to be working towards building charging infrastructure in market nationwide. Currently there are six charging points in Pune and aims to take the number to 100 by December 2016 in Pune.
