BMW and TVS have developed a 310cc platform jointly although it’s the former company who has made most of the benefits out of it. BMW has spawned three different bikes from the platform G 310 R Street Bike, G310 GS ADV, and G 310 RR. TVS, on the other hand, has been able to launch only the single Apache RR 310 sports bike from this platform. However, the company might come up with an Apache 310 Street concept from this platform.
In terms of engine configuration, the Apache street bike concept could receive a reverse-inclined 312.2 cc single-cylinder engine that is capable of putting out 33.52 bhp and 27.3 Nm of max torque. It might come coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and use the ride-by-wire technology with the convenience of creep mode. TVS might give the bike different body panels in order to make it distinctive from G 310 R. In terms of the pricing if TVS decides to go ahead with the launch of Apache 310 Street then expect its prices to be around Rs 20k less than BMW G 310 RR which currently costs Rs 2.70 lakh.
It is not yet officially confirmed by the TVS that whether it will go ahead with the launch of the Apache street bike concept but it is very much a possibility given the fact that BMW products are manufactured by the TVS and they can easily use this competence to come up with the street bike and adventure bike concept for their own brand.
