Volkswagen Vento Diesel highlight is the 1.5-litre TDI engine is the new block, which now gets a different tuning and a larger turbocharger that bumps the power to 110 PS. The peak torque is rated at the same 250 Nm. It is now offered with two transmission options as before too. A 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic. The Vento diesel manual variant has a ARAI fuel economy of 22.27 km/l, while that of the automatic variant gives a ARAI claimed 22.15 km/l.
