Volvo S60 vs Mercedes C43 AMG Vs Audi S5 on paper is intense, but dig deeper and you know what is tempting you to book one now!

Volvo has Polestar, which is the Swedish carmaker’s performance division. Just like AMG is to Mercedes Benz, Audi Sport (RS) is for Audi and the ///M Motorsport division is for BMW. We talk about this today because Volvo has bought the S60 Polestar into the market as a big surprise. The car comes with revised chassis and a whole new engine which is a four-cylinder unit. Let’s dig into the numbers as that matters the most and since we have driven the Volvo S60 Polestar, we can tell you a bit extra here along with a link to review that can be found below.

Let’s talk about the heart of the matter. Volvo S60 Polestar comes four-cylinder with a 2.0-litre engine which is turbocharged and supercharged and churns out 367bhp and 470Nm of peak torque. The C43 AMG is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine puts out 367 BHP of power and 520 Nm of torque. The Audi S5 Sportback has a bigger engine with a six-cylinder, 3.0-litre supercharged mill but makes do with less power at 328bhp of power and 440Nm of torque.

Audi comes with 7-speed DSG gearbox, Volvo comes with a 8-speed gearbox and Mercedes comes with a 9-speed gearbox. Mercedes and Volvo do 0-100 km/hr in 4.7 seconds Audi goes over 5.0 seconds which is natural because of inferior numbers on spec. Talking about weight, the Volvo S60 Polestar weighs at 1748 kg. The Mercedes-AMG C43 weighs 1690 kg. The Audi S5 weighs a hefty 1745 kg as well. All cars heavy because they do carry AWD system which does add a ton or more to these cars.

All cars are on the verge of getting facelifts and upgrades next over the due course and all cars have dated cabins despite they are high quality. The lack the modern appeal. C-class is better though as its quality is way superior. Volvo continues with its waterfall design, but it has spruced up the interior for the Polestar as it gets badging, blue stitching, plates and stickers all around the car to make things racier and appeal to its audience. Audi also continues with its cabin, which looks good but fails leave and impression in appeal. Feature list also, Volvo silently wins as it has a single variant on offer like others but it has so many active and passive safety features along with the usual essentials and luxury features, it is a clear contender to the Germans.

The Volvo S60 Polestar main weapon is the price. At Rs 52.50 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi) it knocks out the competition. The Mercedes-AMG C43 AMG has a price tag of Rs 74.35 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Audi S5 Sportback asks a little less at Rs 66.20 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Going by the price, the Volvo offers the most offers insane value for money proposition and is intense deal in the market right now if you want a car which performs, commutes and help you add flare and bling every time you get behind the wheel. Volvo also gets you the ‘standing out of the crowd feature’ from the Germans which are flooding the roads. We are pretty sure, you know what you want now by now!
