VW Tiguan India may sound expensive but it is loaded to the gills when it comes to features and offers a spacious cabin as a 5-seater layout

Based on the modern MQB platform, the Volkswagen Tiguan has been launched. Starting at Rs. 27.68 Lacs and 31.38 Lakhs the Tiguan (ex-showroom Mumbai) pre octroi. There is also Easy open boot, Electrically foldable ORVM, LED illuminated Panoramic Sunroof and Keyless Entry & Go among others. For added pedestrian protection, VW Tiguan India specific model is built with special deformation elements in the front bumper, a largest possible distance between bonnet and engine, and deformable wings, ensuring other road users and pedestrians are exposed to as little danger as possible.

Featuring the 4MOTION intelligent all-wheel drive system with variable torque transfer to the rear wheels for the VW Tiguan India specific model, it should offer more acceleration capability on every type of driving surface. MQB platform makes the vehicle lighter, more efficient, spacious and safe. Fuel efficiency is a major driver in India, the Tiguan is equipped with the powerful and efficient 2.0L TDI engine mated to a 7-speed automatic DSG transmission that offers fuel efficiency of 17.06 kmpl (ARAI tested) and coupled with a fuel tank that offers a capacity of 71 litres it should translate into a large highway range. The engine delivers peak power of 143 PS and 340 Nm of torque for good performance.
