Yamaha YZF-R3 GYTR is a race machine that is focused and gets added equipment to be so much better on the track

Yamaha is enthralling EICMA audience with its new race-track focused R319 YZF-R3 motorcycle. Called YZF-R3 GYTR (Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing), this limited-edition bike is currently on display at 2018 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Yamaha has equipped YZF-R3 with special race-track focused hardware such as Ohlins suspension system, Brembo front disc brake, GYTR engine kit, and Titanium Akrapovic exhaust system. The engine kit is integrated to help the bike comply with 2019 world Supersport championship regulations. In addition, the engine kit in all probability is expected to bump up the performance of the bike although Yamaha has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the performance aspect.

The stock version of the YZF-R3 derives its power from 321-cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which puts out 42PS of Max Power@10,750 rpm while delivering 29.6Nm of rotational force @9000 rpm. The engine features advanced technologies like dual overhead cam arrangement and fuel injection for improved performance and enhanced mileage.
Yamaha has done away with road-legal bits on the YZF-R3 like rear view mirrors, number plates, turn indicators, pillion saddle, etc., to shed the extra bulk and further improve its performance on the race track. The fairing design, however, has been retained from the stock 2019 YZF-R3 model.

In addition to YZF-R3, Yamaha has also displayed the YZF-R1 at the event. Clad in the dual-tone red and white colors, this sub-one liter bike symbolises the celebration of the R1 brand in the business for 20 years. Yamaha will reveal the specifications and prices of the YZF-R1 later and to maintain its exclusivity, only 20 units of the bike will be produced. The stock version of YZF-R1, for reference, comes equipped with a 998 cc, liquid-cooled forward inclined four-cylinder double overhead cam (DOHC) engine which is capable of making 200PS@13,500 rpm and 112.4Nm of max torque @11,500 rpm.
